Mrs. Glessner’s Pre-K 4-year-olds were on a very important mission today! The Gingerbread Man went missing, and our little detectives searched all around PES to find him. With teamwork, listening ears, and lots of excitement, they finally tracked him down! Best of all, he was safely returned home in the end. What an adventure full of smiles, curiosity, and sweet success! Check out these adorable moments from our Gingerbread Man search below.

PES is diving into Holiday Spirit Week, and the building is already buzzing with festive energy. Holiday Spirit Week will be from Monday, 12/15, to Friday, 12/19. We will kick off things on Monday with Merry Monday Pajama Day, as students and staff cozied up in their warmest holiday PJs for a comfy start to the week. Tuesday brought out the sparkle with Holiday Headwear Day—the halls were filled with Santa hats, elf ears, menorah headbands, reindeer antlers, and every festive accessory imaginable. By Wednesday, the entire school transformed into a snowy scene for Winter Wonderland Whiteout Day, with everyone dressed in white, silver, and light blue to create a wintry vibe. On Thursday, things got loud and colorful for Deck the Halls & Sweater Day, featuring the funniest, ugliest, and most over-the-top holiday sweaters, complete with tinsel, ornaments, and garland. We’ll wrap it all up on Friday with Festive Characters Day, when students and staff arrive dressed as their favorite holiday or winter characters—from Santa and elves to snowmen, the Grinch, reindeer, and beyond.

✨ What a Night at the PES Winter Concert! ✨ Our fifth grade orchestra, fifth grade band, Panthers singers, and full chorus took the stage last night and performed some of their holiday favorites! The music, the energy, and the holiday vibes were just amazing! We’re so proud of our Panthers—they really gave us something special to kick off the season. And of course, a huge shout-out to Mr. Ryan List for all the heart, hard work, and patience he puts into making nights like this happen. Our students shine because he helps them believe they can.

The media center was bursting with creativity this week! 🎈🤖 Our PK–2 students kicked things off with their own balloon parades, then put their engineering hats on to figure out how to attach their creations to a Dash robot. Grades 3–5 joined the fun by building LEGO parade floats and driving them around with robots of their own. Every group used Makerspace tools, teamwork, and plenty of trial and error to bring their parades to life. The room was delightfully chaotic, wonderfully imaginative, and full of students problem-solving in real time. Two days of pure creative energy in the media center—and the results were awesome! 🚀📚

Buddy Day brought all the smiles today! Our older students teamed up with our younger ones for a Turkey Trouble adventure—reading together, creating turkey disguises, and sharing lots of laughs. Watching our big kids lead with kindness and our little ones shine with excitement is what makes our school community so special. 🦃❤️
