Congratulations to our elementary media specialists Linda Blackmon (PES), Ken Bouchet (DES), Christine Fortner (RES), Ann Mengal (GES), and Brittainy Simmons (FES)! Thanks to their work, all five elementary schools have earned national recognition and are among only 160 schools nationwide to receive the CS100 School Award for their commitment to providing exceptional computer science education to K-5 students. The Greensboro Judy Center and lots of community partners have joined together for a Hello Summer! Safety Fair on Monday, June 14, 5:00-7:00pm in the school parking lot. Field day is tomorrow, Friday June 2nd! 😎 Please send your child with a water bottle. Water bottles must be clear and contain ONLY water. Please do not send in fruity drinks or colored water. 💧 Sunscreen should be put of children before coming to school. ☀️ Parents can come to see their students on Field Day, when their child’s class is in the bus loop. The class schedule for the bus loop is listed below. Parents are invited to watch the bus loop activities from under the canopy, like we did for our Halloween Parade. Greensboro Elementary is a SCHOOL CHAMPION in Caroline County for the 2023 Children's Mental Health Matters Campaign! During May 8th-12th participate in some spirit week fun to bring awareness to Children's Mental Health.

Good Evening GES Families, The PTA has a few announcements. 1. We are so excited for our biggest fundraiser of the year. Our Walk-A-Thon will be May 26 and this week envelopes and information has been sent home. Please check your child's backpack for this envelope and green information letter. We are hoping to make this a huge success. Please get those donations in. Remember no amount is too small! 2. The PTA will host their last public meeting of the year and it will be an election meeting for a new president and treasurer. Please come out and support those who are on the ballot and vote! The meeting will be Monday May 8, 2023 at 6:00pm.
